The gloomy and overcast October 1st morning provided an idyllic backdrop for my return to the older section of Resurrection Cemetery ...The stately trees that liberally adorn the grounds there were now tempered with tints of orange, amber and magenta leaving little doubt that the encroaching fall weather would inevitably transform them into a myriad of autumn colors before rendering them as gaunt, skeletal and barren stalks for the duration of the winter months ahead...
There is a certain sense of surrealism that many experience upon making their paranormal pilgrimage here that does not diminish with time or frequency of return visits ...The story of Resurrection Mary has become shrouded in antiquity as the years go by and the legend is further complicated by controversy amid factions that contend the legendary apparition was in life; Mary Bregovy and now those that are steadfast in their belief that it was in actuality; Mary Miskowski (see link below)...Some speculate that whomever this woman was had some potent psychic or telekinetic abilities in life and that she may have not died immediately following that fateful hit and run that left her for dead that evening...this in conjunction with being scorned by her date that left her in this predicament and already anguished emotional state as she clung to life on that cold, damp roadside served to further exacerbate her outrage before she finally perished there alone, abandoned, violated and cold... and the psychical energy released left an imprint that seems to keep calling this spirit back to relive the torment she felt that evening... is this the torment that drives Chicago�s seminal spook to relive that evening in an interactive act of residual repetition...What compels this earth-bound entity to retrace her fateful steps along Archer Avenue and in defiance of the of usual residual haunting M.O. and acknowledge the living by way of hitchhiking rides or manifesting at The Willow Brook Ballroom to dance with unsuspecting Halloween dance attendees in her diaphanous white gown with the long trailing dress that her flowing pale tresses and willowy frame probable made her spectral in appearance even on that Autumnal evening that claimed her ephemeral life long ago... On the other side of the fence; is her posthumous recalcitrance indelible etched in the physical burial boundaries of Resurrection?...Perhaps the rage she feels at her confinement within the gates of the cemetery burns so fiercely at times that it had left her fingerprints inexplicably burned into the iron gates ...an inexplicable phenomena that to this day defies logical explanation and almost every time I have returned to Resurrection Cemetery . there is some new bizarre bends in the iron front gates that keep returning regardless of the vigilance the cemetery management to repair or replace the bars...most of you probably know this story as this haunting has been ongoing since the 30's but seems to have tapered off since archer Avenue was resurfaced in the mid 80's ...has �Mary� finally been released from here earth bound agony by way of medium intervention, environmental changes, natural dispersion of once her once powerful pent up psychical energies by the simple passage of time?...I have trouble reading this site because it is such an auric blend of mixed spiritual signatures ...some benign other not so much ...I love the historic significance associated with the older section there ...the weathering and eroding of a few of the statues has transformed some of them from iconic symbols of Christian allegory to almost fiendish looking disfigured, shrouded ghouls while others remain unchanged in their timeless beauty ...as I was opting for the best angle to shoot one of the more awe inspiring markers, I lamented out loud how �beautiful� this particular Madonna statue was ...I heard a woman�s voice echo the sentiment �yes that is one of my favorites�...

*looks around* ok... I've just gotten my first certification and now i wanna party and blow off steam... So I'm throwing a party in here for all my friends in the alien infested haunted house with plenty of alien ale or JC if he shows up, a guiness for moony if and when he drops in, and some hot cocoa for Murlag since I KNOW she'll be around.

Just wanted to drop in for a second and update my Ghostplace family on my going on!

As many of you know Christopher and I throw a formal Oscar party every year. This years party was a huge success once again! So I am very proud of that.

But the big news is that in the middle of the party Christopher PROPOSED! Yes, I am now officially engaged!

No date has been set as of yet. Christopher's sister is getting married in May. So we are not even going to start planning until after that. One wedding in the works is enough for the family! LOL

So that is the latest and greatest for me.

Yesterday march 6 I found out that my fiance' might have cancer..She finds out for sure if she has it or not Monday march 8..I have never been so scared in my life..i can't lose her..and listening to her say she doesn't want to die or doesn't wanna say good-bye to me is tearing me apart..Im trying so hard to keep her spirits up but im failing miserably..please keep her in your thoughts and prayers..It would mean so much to me to know that she has all of you praying for her..Please I'm barely hanging on from having a complete break down and im trying so hard to be strong for her..Please keep her with ya'll

Believe it or not many providers where led to believe that Ghostplace.com was a Physhing site! How on Earth did that happen? What measures do the do called anti-Physhing PTB have in place? Apparently and very worryingly so anyone can pop in a website at a popular Antiphysting website safety network and without further ado that website is effectively blocked from the internet, that how it was for 2 days, 2 days! If this continues it could make browsing the web a living hell from now on. A better system of checks and balances need to be put into place.

Recently I watched a show and they experimented with Automatic Writing.
From what I understood it is when someone - not necissarily a psychic - is in a relaxed state and move the pencil randomly over the paper soemtimes resulting in words other times scribbles. People believe this is a way of communicating with spirits.
For example - If you can remember the movie "The Others" towards the end, the old lady was communicating with the little girl as she was scribbling on paper and the man was reading from it.
I was wondering if anyone has tried this and what was the result?

Trying to get the courage

Alrighty, here's the deal. I'm trying to get the courage to tell my parents, well at least my mom of everything i have experienced throughout the years. I find talking about the paranormal to be a really touchy subject for some reason, so i haven't told any one of my family whats happened, and i just keep it all to myself, even when i was younger i didnt tell anyone.

But recently i've been wanting to tell my mom everything. But i cant seem to get myself to bring up the subject. I want to tell her, but i end up getting this like heavy weight feeling on my shoulders and I kinda talk myself out of telling her. Like tonight i had the perfect to chance to bring it up because i was helping her with some papers and my dad was out with the dog, but i just got that heavy feeling on my shoulders and didnt.

I want to be able to talk about my past experiences and possibly future with her but i just cant seem to bring up the topic.

Any idea of a good way to bring up the a subject like this?

Any help would be great i just really want to tell her but i just feel like i can't

Good afternoon my lovely GP friends!
It has been far, far too long since I last posted, probably the longest time since I joined here 3 years ago!
So how are y'all?

I guess I came back here because I have some big news to share, and that news is that I have succeeded.
Back in December of 2008 I decided to lose weight, I was almost 240 pounds and stand at just 5 foot 9, and I had a 42 inch waist. Anyway, the 42 inch waist was the last straw for me, and I decided that I had to drop some of that.

So, this week (just 15 months later) I happily reached my target, still standing at 5 foot 9 obviously, I now weigh just 160 pounds (or maybe about 158), and have a 32 inch waist!

I just thought I had to share this news with someone and where better than on GP with some of the coolest folks I know!
