Gatewayy To A Hellmouth and beyond

Tut Tut Tut. This is a false story! To the best of my knowledge there has never been an occurrance such as this nor have I experienced such an event!!! Let's go.... Nice and comfy sitting back feeling safe huumm. Ever been somewhere when out of nowhere you feel like something is wrong really wrong? Has it ever been in the darkest of night ? When just every little sound seems like it's unnatural. There's an abandoned ghost town that sits high up in the Rockies in Colorado. Up high and hidden back in the scarce pine trees. Down the road of this town is an abandoned silver mine as well. The town was called Shadow Falls. Haunted of course. But the catch is that you can only find this ghost town only once a year and on only one month out of that year. That year being the month of August. Any other time you'll just find a barren field at the base of some steap cliffs and some prarie grass fields. As soon as my roomate and I pulled onto this old dirt road we knew for sure that we would find a good campsite up the road aways. The sun was starting to hang low in the western night sky. So time was getting short to set up camp. We were driving on this dirt road I'd say about two and a half hours when we turned around a grove of trees and there it was. As if it had just materialized out of a scene from a western movie...a small town. A town where all the buildings stood made of wood. As we drove closer there was a sign also made of weather beaten wood the sign had in faded writing Shadow Falls population 311. We drove right to the center of this town and a feeling of something just not right engulfed us. It was getting dark and it seemed that the darkness was swallowing up everything in it's wake. We got out of the car and grabbed our sleeping bags from the back seat of the car. A building with the words faded on it's front read Hotel. So we headed in that direction. Half way there the wind started to pick up and small dirt devils blew in the street. As we made to the porch and the front door a slow rumble of thunder was making it's way towards us in the not so distance. As we looked at the mountains and the cliffs lightening lite up the sky in that direction it would be only an hour or two befor it would be on us. We had a little trouble getting in the door of the hotel. But with a little force we were in. It was dark very dark as soon as we turned on our flash lights we had that feeling of someone or something was watching us. You know that creepy feeling you get and the hair on the back of your neck stands on end. We walked across the room to what looked like the front desk. There was an inch of dirt on everything we looked at. We decided to make our way up the stairs and see if we could find any decent place to put our sleeping bags to get some rest for the night. At the top of the stairs there was a long hallway what used to look like red carpet was now under our feet and leading down the hall. All the doors were shut, so we opened them as we walked slowly down the hall with our flash lights in hand. We decided on a room that was half way down the hall out of all the rooms this one seemed to have the least amount of dirt. Only after a few minutes of laying on our sleeping bags did I hear it. The sound of faint music. I asked jess my roomate if she heard it. After a couple of seconds she said it sounds like an old piano of sorts. I got up and went to the window. Looking out across the street a light was comming from what appeared to be the saloon. The light flickered and went out. A loud clash of thunder shook the building and a flash of lightening lite up the street and town and in that flash, shadows of people or what took the form of people where in the street. But there was no sound. Just a deathly still quietness. In the hall way someone or something ran by our door. Laughter of a female was heard and the scuffling of feet ran by the door again. As I reached for the door knob Jess told me to stop. As my hand hoovered over the door knob the door flew open. A ghastly figure of a woman stood in the doorway. If you could call it a woman it was hard to tell because the rotted flesh was just hanging on exposed bones that what looked like they were covered with the remains of a dress. It let out a blood curdling scream and just vanished. My blood ran ice cold I was shaking and the rush of adrinaline all most made me sick. As I started to come out of my state of shock it was then that I heard Jessie screaming a blood kurdling scream on the fringes of insanity. I tried to shake her and bring her back from where ever she was. After a couple of minutes she seemed to be comming back the screaming stoped and was replaced by sobbing. "What the hell was that?" she asked me. I don't know but we're not staying here. As we ran to the hall way there was foot steps comming up the stairs. I pushed Jessie back in the room. We have to go out the window I told her. There's something or someone comming up the stair. As we ran over by the window the storm was making itself known. It started to rain and rain hard. The window opened with ease. As I climbed out onto the roof I heard the door to our room burst open! I grabbed Jessie and pulled her through the window. We were able to slide down the roof and land in the street which was now just a mud puddle. We got up and splashed our way to the car. Once inside I tried to start the engine. Nothing. As I turned on the headlights the nightmare befor me made my hart freeze to a stand still. In the light of the headlights was a crowd, a crowd of skeletons in shredded clothing and they're eye sockets glowing a flickering red. It was only after I turned to get Jess that I realized she had been screaming over and over almost to the edge of insanity. I grabbed her arm a pulled her out of the car and half way carried her to a place of shelter out of the rain. The stables. I blocked the door with an old pitch fork found an old shovel and used it to. The loud clash of thunder shook the ground. No one tried to get in. There was no banging no screaming. I looked at jess. "Why aren't they trying to get in?" I asked. I tried to get a look outside by looking through a crack in the side of the stable door. Nothing there then I saw it.................Sorry guys my shift is about over I'll have to finish this tomarrow......................

WELL HERE'S ANOTHER FINE MESS YOU'VE GOTTEN ME INTO.........AND ANOTHER THING......
